Murray Walker started his broadcasting career back in 1948 at Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb, before moving into all manners of motorsport. In 1978 Murray became a BBC full-time commentator on Formula 1.

Formula 1 is where most of us will remember Murrary’s legacy within the sport, and the impact that he had on millions of people not just in the United Kingdom, but from around the world. Murray called time on his career in 2001 after the United States Grand Prix, leaving us many iconic moments we can look back on and remember his legacy.

Whilst the world does not stand still for anyone, we would like you to join us in spending a minute to remember his legacy and the impacts and changes he brought to our sport and the world.
